Biography |
Stijn van Aardenne is a spatial designer based in Rotterdam's vibrant M4H district, where creativity and collaboration shape his evolving practice. Originally trained as a graphic designer, Stijn shifted his focus three years ago to explore the technical side of design. His work now blends spatial design with hands-on implementation, particularly in the realm of 3D printing. Passionate about pushing the boundaries of form and material, Stijn uses recycled plastic to create unique objects like chairs, vases, and lamps in small, thoughtful editions.
At his studio above restaurant Bitter and club Bit, Stijn's collaborative spirit thrives. He worked with childhood friends and fellow creatives on the interior of both spaces, where his designs—including a 3D printed bar and acoustic panels—demonstrate his seamless integration of function and aesthetics. Always experimenting, Stijn's commitment to innovation keeps him connected to the broader maker community, where he shares knowledge and ideas, fostering a culture of creativity and sustainability.
