My practice mainly consists of an idea-based approach to the vessel object in various installational interpretations and contexts. I'm working with themes such as archaeology, categorization and sequence dating of ancient ceramics. Fetish objects, objects of value, or the ceramic object as an exemplary cultural object encompassing the functional and the artistic, the religious and the profane, the elitist and the popular, the mass production and the singular and handmade. In short, I have a both general and specific interest in how the ceramic object means something – especially in a historical context.
