Sebastião Lobo, born in 1993, is an emerging jeweler and concept artist flourishing in Lisbon. A graduate of the António Arroio art school, he swiftly established his own jewelry studio, setting out on a creative odyssey that encompasses sculpture, plastic arts, and scenography. His notable collaborations include contributions to Astolfi Studio, enhancing the revered Hermés' shop window and the Pau Brasil concept shop décor, as well as fashioning an impressive display for Mercedes-Benz.
Lobo's artistry is marked by its fluidity and range, from the creation of delicate wire sculptures that capture the essence of animal silhouettes to the crafting of sophisticated, minimalist jewelry pieces. His work is characterized by daring and innovation, as seen in his creations for the Oceano Azul foundation—a whale and jellyfish fashioned from plastic bottles—and a striking fiberglass shark skeleton for the +351 shop.
His journey in the arts has been highlighted by numerous achievements, including accolades at jewelry exhibitions, solo shows in avant-garde galleries, and partnerships with esteemed entities. His diverse portfolio features sculpting trophies for the Deloitte award ceremony, orchestrating the annual show for Ginásio Clube Português, and creating both functional and ornamental items for Plano restaurant and the IVENS Hotel in Lisbon. He has also sculpted beach installations for Yamba at Costa da Caparica. Sebastião Lobo's artistry is not only a fusion of elegance and purpose but also a demonstration of his profound artistic intent, bridging various artistic realms.
