Biography |
Laura Lynn Reyes is a designer based in Zurich, Switzerland.
Her studies at the University of the Arts in Zurich (ZHdK) have allowed her to combine her fascinations with in-depth design principles. Working as a designer for food and gastronomic projects raised her awareness of an often-overlooked by-product of food production: organic waste. Intrigued by raw aesthetics and tactility, Laura began questioning, "Can design help us understand waste as something valuable?" and "How can this value become visible and tangible?".
In her practice today Laura Lynn crafts biomaterials and functional objects with organic waste, blending material experiments, craftsmanship, and design practices. At NOM.Object she aims to bring these back into everyday surroundings resonating with the concept of home & hospitality. Whether in a private setting or at a small gathering elsewhere — each piece is crafted to complement a welcoming atmosphere while simultaneously serving as a tool to open conversations about the potential of waste.
