Neo Vernacular is a design and fabrication studio founded by Sami El Khattabi, operating between Morocco and Los Angeles, CA.

Trained as an architect, Sami has cultivated a passion for making, with a particular focus on the convergence of digital fabrication methods and vernacular crafts.
This approach is exemplified in the studio's initial body of work, Liquid Stone, which reinterprets the ancient Moroccan plastering technique of Tadelakt in novel, contemporary ways.

NV Studio is continuously exploring new design challenges, crafts and processes. With the aim to create objects and spaces that are resolutely modern, while remaining rooted in handmade craftsmanship.
