L’Impatience is the creative studio of French ceramicists Benedicte and Jerome Leclere, based in Kingston, New York. With backgrounds in music production and art direction, they bring a multidisciplinary approach to their practice, merging sculptural ceramics with sound and interior design.
At the heart of their work is a desire to create pieces that are both elemental and refined—objects that engage the senses and elevate daily rituals. Their process is guided by material sensitivity, thoughtful restraint, and a deep respect for form and function.
Their latest project, Mutual Core, is a sculptural high-fidelity speaker system that unites acoustic precision with the expressive qualities of ceramic. Entirely hand-built in small batches, it reflects L’Impatience’s pursuit of purity—in sound, in form, and in intention.
L’Impatience has evolved from a quiet studio practice into a multifaceted exploration of home, sound, and tactile beauty. Their work is designed for those who value timeless materials, subtle contrasts, and the presence of the handmade.
