Biography	Lia Raquel Marques is an Angolan-Portuguese designer and maker based in Lisbon. By accessing archives, Lia references concepts of prosperity and rituals, linking the valued and the mundane through the characteristics of artefacts and contemporary objects to imagine an alternative reality. Designing a dialogue between function and forgotten cultural narratives, using ceramics. She holds a masters degree from the Royal College of Art for Design Products and previously a BA in Textile and Surface Design.
