Yankatu

It was through an invitation to go deep in my own story that I have started this journey. It took me to places very far, some real, other childhood memories. I went after authenticity, beauty and rescue, aiming at giving some things a new meaning and revealing others. From it, the wish to transmit this ahead was born, to tell a little bit about everyone and encourage each one to tell a little bit about themselves. I would like my brand to express my passion, my values, combining ethics and aesthetics, nature and handcrafting, conscious and consumption, creating sensations and emotions. As so, already with this inner feeling, I’ve bumped into a writing of the Villas-Bôas brothers quoting a belief of the Kamayurá natives: “The native is born with three souls. The first and second souls, conceived by man and woman, dies with the individual. The third, Yankatu, is pure essence. It is beauty. It is this soul that grants a person the dignity that she/he have as a human being.” There was no escape...YANKATU was born.
