ELSUR is a furniture and product brand founded in 2014 by Cristina Vallejo.
Interested in the connection between humans and objects, her designs explore new possibilities of uses, methods, materials and shapes, having the Spanish culture as an inspiration. Every product created is an unique piece, made partially or entirely by hand, in collaboration with local craftsmen or by herself.
Moving between design, crafts and art, each project is conceived with a different approach, with which to tell a story through the object itself that lasts in our memory. At ELSUR we support a contemporary design that combines craftsmanship and technology to manufacture one-of-a-kind, durable and of great quality furniture and objects.
The work at ELSUR is complemented by the participation in exhibitions, to mention "VIII International WTA Biennial of Contemporary Art ", Madrid 2019 , or specialized talks. ELSUR is reviewed in several publications, such as the 2019 guide "Made in Madrid. Design and craftsmanship in the city".
