Working with biomaterials for several years, Ludovico experiments with their potential as alternatives to fossil-based materials. Sugar has been a material of choice for Ludovico, with its ability to dissolve and crystallize, which mirrors shifting states of memory and matter. Found objects, marked by past use and industry, introduce layers of history and adaptation. By combining these elements, the work investigates cycles of formation and decay, stability and impermanence. Through continuous material exploration, Ludovico engages with the possibilities of reshaping matter, inviting reflection on how materials evolve and how they shape our relationship with the world around us.
