fabulous collective is a collective of designers, artisans and business professionals dedicated to empowering communities through design-based innovation of traditional crafts for a fairer design industry. With an eye to environmental, social and cultural sustainability, co/fab collections draw attention to a diverse range of craft skills and materials. Each product is designed in a collaboration between designers and artisans, to delivery high quality and locally sourced products that embody stories of heritage, dedication and workmanship.
co/fab is a spin-off of co/rizom incubation program, a project supported by ERSTE Foundation. With different projects and co-design processes, co/rizom vienna supports and mentors artisans and designers in the production of their collections, while at the same time implementing open-source models and tools to power design-based craft initiatives.
