Darka is a young Oslo-based design studio and manufacturer, focusing on lighting, furniture and homewear.

It is an offshoot of the Scandinavian experimental design and installation art scene. The studio practice has its origins in ­playful experimentation with light, form and physics, and is steadily building a portfolio of fixtures with distinct profiles, honest and­ ­sensible materialities, anchored in light-hearted and classic industrial design inspired by the masters of manufacture and ­modernist sculptural art. Proud to be independent and free to design sans aesthetic compromise.
