Biography |
Founded in 2024 by Seoungjun Eu aka. Teo Rhe (KR) and Sheyang Li (CH), Bureau.parso is a collaborative art studio rooted in material exploration and craftsmanship. The two artists, who first met while studying in Eindhoven, Netherlands, bring a shared vision to their practice, blending design and sculpture to create works that transcend traditional boundaries.
The studio’s practice centers on reimagining overlooked materials, uncovering their hidden beauty, and transforming them into meaningful objects. Their inaugural *Aluminum Veneer* series exemplifies this ethos, beginning with refined scrap wood to reveal its unique grain and texture. This organic detail is then transmuted into aluminum—a fully recycled industrial material—resulting in creations that merge natural richness with industrial precision. Their approach to design integrates research and the development of bespoke production processes. By balancing control with spontaneity, he allows the material's inherent qualities to shape the outcome, crafting objects that embody a harmonious dialogue between intention and unpredictability.
Bureau.parso redefines the value of raw materials, challenging conventional perceptions of worth. Their work invites reflection on the potential of everyday resources, celebrating the interplay between the organic and the industrial in creating singular, artful pieces.
