Timeless and tactile — wool felt is 100% natural, deeply rooted in human history, and now reimagined as a smart, sustainable, and technically advanced material. BUDKO RUGS brings wool felt objects back into the modern interior.

Felt carpets share a history as long and rich as woven ones. But at some point, they lost the race — unable to adapt to the evolving technologies that expanded visual storytelling.
For carpets, which have always carried narrative meaning, this became a decisive turning point. Felt objects gradually came to be seen as archaic or purely utilitarian.

With digital embroidery technology, we are bridging that gap. Over the past three years, we’ve been experimenting with materials and refining our techniques. Today, we hold in our hands a tool that brings a broad, contemporary visual language back to wool felt.

We use undyed wool felt produced in Spain — naturally light and naturally dark. Our palette includes around 100 colors of ceramic and metal threads. Custom shapes and sizes are available upon request. Each piece we create balances craftsmanship and technological innovation.

In 2024, we opened our rugs production atelier in Santander, Spain. “Hear My Roooar” is our first collection — a rethinking of the skin rug as part of the social mythology of objects of desire. We continue to explore the narrative potential of carpets, with upcoming collections dedicated to floral motifs, geometric ornaments and archetypal scenes. We are also preparing to launch wool felt furniture items with embroidery.
