Neotribalism

Curatorial Statement
This collection demonstrates an emerging style of the Belgian design scene, with notions of brutalist shapes and tribal vibes. It appears through rough but poetic sculptural concrete works, Handwoven tables from plant fibres, reclaimed-cork products, Hand-Carved Meranti wood, and hand-welded waste metal.
Reclaiming and reusing materials has been around since our society was driven by tribes. Refining and processing these materials in new and innovative ways leads your mind towards some sort of Neotribalism.
The designers curated for this collection, are selected because of their strong concepts and philosophies, experimentation with materials, savoir-faire, and the use of high-end innovative techniques.
