Description

Continuing the HEADS series, this pendant translates the sculptural form into wearable art. Cast in solid silver using the lost-wax technique, it preserves the essence of the original piece: stylized human heads and torsos reduced to pure, essential lines.
A subtle balance between digital design and traditional craftsmanship, this work embodies both refinement and raw presence.

About Lucas Gutierrez Studio Visit Showroom →

Lucas Gutierrez Studio melds traditional craft with vanguard digital design. Rooted in Berlin, our practice extends from the tactile richness of tapestries to the boundless exploration of digital sculpture. Our pieces are a dialogue between past and present, embodying a modern interpretation of ancient craftsmanship. The studio explores the tangible manifestation of digital aesthetics, constantly extending the frontiers of form and materiality. Narrating stories of digital culture through a lens of high-quality design and artistic expression mainly working with textiles, glass and ceramics. Lucas Gutierrez (b. 1985) is a Berlin-based Argentinian digital artist and industrial designer with a multifaceted approach to his craft. He has ventured into a myriad of disciplines, ranging from lectures, workshops, and audiovisual performances to cutting-edge video art projects that underscore the evolving paradigms of Digital Culture. Deeply rooted in remix culture, his real-time AV projects masterfully weave elements from diverse contexts, such as post-work anthropology and abstract 3D modeling nuances for industrial design. While his narratives often touch upon contemporary societal anxieties and dystopias, they are expressed through a vibrant and chaotic metaphysical lens. Lucas has showcased his work at prominent exhibitions, including The New Infinity | Berliner Festspiele | Immersion and CTM/transmediale (Germany), Llum BCN Festival d’Arts Lumíniques (Spain), and EMA Expo ММОМА (Russia). He has also delivered talks and performances at esteemed venues like Centre Pompidou / IRCAM / Manifeste (France), Sonar+D and MUTEK (Argentina/Mexico), ZKM-Karlsruhe, MIRA and MMMAD Festival (Spain), Poesiefestival (Germany), and NYU in both Berlin and Tokyo. Over recent years, Lucas has shared his expertise through lectures at institutions such as UdK – Universität der Künste Berlin and Kunsthochschule Weißensee, focusing on real-time visualization, spatial motion graphics, and visuals.
