Inderjeet Sandhu defines the home not just as a domestic space but also as a political arena where personal, social, and cultural dynamics converge. Shaped by his bicultural upbringing in a Dutch-Indian family, he sees the home as a site of negotiation and resistance, where comfort and tradition intersect with the lasting effects of migration and adaptation. His work explores materials, craftsmanship, and domestic objects, reinterpreting them to reveal new meanings.
His work has been featured in international publications such as Wallpaper, ELLE Decoration, Dezeen, Hypebeast, Sight Unseen, A Magazine Curated By, Openhouse Magazine, Azure Magazine, and Architectural Digest.

Pervert is a (soap) dish that provocatively asks: What are we willing to welcome into our homes? Made from carrara marble and engraved with the word “Pervert”, the piece explores themes of normativity, deviance, and social boundaries framed through the lens of domestic design. The word “Pervert” carries loaded connotations. By embedding it in a functional object, the work challenges our ideas of hospitality and comfort: Can we embrace the outsider? Do we sanitize our spaces to avoid discomfort or is there room for difference, contradiction, and subversion?
