    “Resonance” is a hand-woven tapestry made of natural materials, built up in different layers with a subtle color gradient. The fragile resonance becomes tangible and visible through the twisting and weaving process. In this creative process, designer Delphine Cobbaert draws, weaves, and connects threads into constructions. Just as the line is the basis for a drawing, here her twisted thread is the basis for the handwoven tapestry.

    Depending on how the material is processed, the interplay of lines reacts differently. The spontaneity and the beauty of the tactility of raw natural materials brings Cobbaert home to her personal design world and is the motivation to explore the boundaries of textiles.

    Resonance is made in limited editions, so each piece is numbered and unique.

    About Delphine Cobbaert Visit Showroom →

    Delphine Cobbaert (°1994) is a passionate textile designer based in Ghent, Belgium. After completing her master degree in textile design at KASK School of Arts in Ghent, she founded her own traditional weaving mill in 2019. Delphine her designs are handwoven using old Belgian looms and twisting machines. She developed various techniques to be able to make all her designs from thread to object in her own production capacity. Hereby her way of working has evolved from her strength as a craftsman in which she attach great importance to handicraft, quality, personality, sustainability, limited editions and local Belgian production. Space, context, materiality and tactility are very important in her artistic process. This makes the role of the body very important to her, which comes into contact with her objects and feel comfortable, warm in the space. Thread by thread, her textile objects are hand woven into a unique custom made artisan design of high-quality natural materials to keep and cherish.
