These lamps that combine soft and fragile paper with rough terracotta take inspiration from ritual masks and tools, that have been used to awaken the unknown.
Throughout his work, Tero wants to find something that moves and touches people. His works combine materials with different haptic qualities, that leave room for the invisible and surprises. Materials and colours are often his biggest inspiration when starting a new design project.
“I love creating objects that feel good in your hand. My aim is to create design with character and allow people to feel connection with them. I want to awake feelings trough playfulness, and a sense of fun. These are recurring theme in my work.”
