Mariadela Araujo is a Venezuelan / Spanish artist, designer and educator. Based in Barcelona and working worldwide. She runs a studio / workshop / laboratory, there, she researches, experimenting and create artworks, functional objects and installations, using different textiles materials and bold colour palettes, elevating traditional artisan techniques, such as weaving, embroidery and textile assembly. Mariadela has been selected by AD Magazine Spain as one of the best Spanish designers. She has created multiple works of art, from large format pieces and installations for public spaces to smaller experimental works, for Loewe, Saatchi Art, EÈRA, WeWork, Limited Edition Rugs, Casa Aymat, Maison et Objet, Premiere Vision, Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam, Fuorisalone Milano, TUMO Studios in Yerevan. She has exhibited in Brussels, Paris, Barcelona, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Mallorca, Caracas and Yerevan.
