Perfect imperfection is a series of three-dimensional ornaments.
Cast porcelain with a running glaze
I have been working with ornaments as decorative pieces, removed from the surface of the utility objects, which they traditionally associated with.
The freestanding decoration has reference to the two-dimensional surface, but occurs in a tree-dimensional form.
I wish too create an aesthetic experience, where material qualities and craftsmanship create a value in themselves.
By adding different types of visually dominating glazes or texture to the complex forms, I wish too play with the viewers experience of the ornaments.
