Description
Lovingly made in Jerusalem by Palestinian artist and ceramicist Inas Halabi.
Inas’s Marbled Palestine collection is created by mixing and wedging 4-5 types of earthenware, recycled from her studio. Inspired by traditional ways of working with the clay, Inas relies on hands-on techniques including coiling, pinching, and slab building to allow for shapes that can’t be created on the wheel to emerge.
The designs are similar in their earth-like colors, but no piece is like another. All plates are fired twice to a final tempeature of 1176 degree Celsius, with a layer of transparent lead-free glaze, making them strong, durable, and kitchen friendly.
Due to the handcrafted nature of this product, each piece is completely unique and may vary slightly in size, shape, texture and colour, all depending on the bake of the day.
Although they are dishwasher safe, it is advisable (and joyful) to wash fine ceramics by hand.
Please note: Production time begins in January 2021.
