Description
A pillar or a totem stands in the space, it’s a toilet. Coming close, you can see physical stories embedded on all the surfaces of the toilet. Stories about processes usually hidden behind the smooth curves of the object: the life cycle of water, where the waste goes, stories about human’s relationship to nature.
This unusual toilet is a monument to an older system and hacked to fit a newer idea: it becomes a dry toilet, honest in its roughness and in its complexity. Somewhere in between an archaeological relic of the future and an alternative for now, this toilet bares the layers hidden behind our flush and forget society pointing towards a reintegration to natural cycles.
