“Algenspiegel” is a kinetic sculpture that can be used as a coat rack in an the entrance hall. It’s smooth, organic curves refer to algae movement underwater and brings the soft and silent memories we experience when diving into the ocean to the environment.
The creation process begins with sketches, followed by the modelling of the piece in a natural scale for study of ergonomics and shape. From the mold the wood is cut, glued, and pressed, to then proceed to thinning and finishing. After, the mirror is added to the piece.
