For Antonio Aricò, a water carafe includes the essentials of a rounded and comfortable shape with a handle, and is used to offer a fresh glass of water to guests and friends. Playing on the idea and shape of purity and simplicity, Antonio wanted to create an emotional object: organic, minimal but strong and full of character. Like a giant ice cube, the body of the carafe is iconic and straightforward. This oversized glass cube – with a hole on the top – accommodates water and ice, and protects the water from the dust. It has six little companions; cubic glasses in which it shares company, in the chance that you too should have company. The carafe was hand blown by Antonio’s good friend, accomplished artisan Massimo Lunardon.
