Barcelona-based designer Curro Claret studied Industrial Design at the Escuela Superior of Diseño Elisava, and continued his studies at Central Saint Martins of London. Since 1998, he has worked as a freelance designer, taking on a bast range of projects including objects, installations, interior designs, and events. His clients have included the Barcelona City Council, La Generalitat de Catalunya and other companies, and his creations distinguish themselves as paper-bound reflexions of a designer's role in society, always taking the final user into consideration during the creative process. Social consciousness is often an underpinning to each of his concepts, and he often collaborates. co-designs and includes communities who exist in a fragile state. Claret has worked as a teacher and as an industrial design instructor, at the Escuela IED of Barcelona and elsewhere; currently, he is part of the FAD Board of Directors (Foment de les Arts i el Disseny). His work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums around the world.
